Pumpkin Spice Latte Season has arrived!

September has arrived after a very hot, long summer and I for one am very glad! its been way too hot for me! don’t get me wrong I like some sunshine but heatwaves are not good. The kids are set to go back to school and I feel a slight chill in the evening air.

New autumn season means Pumpkin Spice Latte time for me! I get excited thinking about that first sip of my first one of the year, and that day was today. A last treat of the summer holidays meant a trip to the cinema with a Starbucks.  Just had to be done, oh boy it was delicious!

A Little Pumpkin Spice Latte History

Did you know that the first pumpkin spice made its debut in 2003 and Starbucks have sold over 500 million since! clearly a popular beverage, have you tried a PSL?!

The first flavour concept was just an actual slice of pumpkin pie with espresso shots poured over it! the recipe has evolved and been improved through the years to have less sugar and artificial chemicals added.

Why not try the Starbucks coffee at home Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe

Here are the coffee beans or pods found on amazon to get you started along with the main ingredient  Pumpkin puree which may be slightly harder to find in the UK but we found some here at Ocado

There are a range of Pumpkin spice coffee syrups available if you want the easy option of just adding the flavour to your regular coffee at home, i usually use the Monin ones but there are a few others listed here with Vegan and low calorie/sugar free options.

Starbucks also do some Pumpkin Spice coffee pods which are another option compatible wit Keurig pod machines, and Nespresso have also got a range.

If Instant coffee is more your thing there is even options for you! boil the kettle and bobs your uncle! thanks to Beanies
